No. Nothing you do to the ends of the hair change how it grows. Unless you do something directly to where the hair originates (electrolysis, laser removal, etc.), the hair grows exactly the same. It may feel thicker because after cutting it, the hair will have a blunt end instead of a tapered end.

That is one of the biggest myths floating in the modern world. Hair grows from roots and not ends..so hw can trimming ends enhance hair growth??? and then again hair is dead !!! there is no way trimming the end can affect the roots

But just the opposite is tweezing or waxing where the hair is pulled from roots….the pain sensation due to waxing causes a blood rush to the waxed areas and can therefore result in a thicker hair growth second time round

Cutting hair in any way does not enhance the growth because the hair shaft is dead, only the root of the hair is actually live. Making sure your scalp is healthy will do better for hair growth, you can get supplements to assist in making sure the hair roots & scalp stay healthy from most health food stores. Fish & borage oils are good for the skin and hair.

Waxing and tweezing over time is detrimental to hair growth. This is because over time you damage the root and so then the root dies and hair will no longer grow.

Cutting or shaving will do nothing. Plucking in any way (waxing or tweezing) will make it grow back just a little bit thicker.
